Turning a Corporate Carve-Out Into an Independent Leader

A speciality-chemicals division had spent years as a small part of a large industrial group, where it competed for attention and capital. Tigre Financial saw a strong business waiting to stand on its own and carved it out as an independent company.
In the first year, Tigre Financial gave the business its own leadership team and the systems a standalone company needs. We then invested in two priorities the parent had set aside: an energy-efficiency programme across the plants that cut utility costs by €2m a year, and a commercial push into higher-margin speciality products. A Tigre Financial operating partner worked on site throughout the transition.
In two years, margin has improved by three points, and the business has won 15 new customers in adjacent industries. Now independent and growing, the company is writing a new chapter, and Tigre Financial intends to back it through the next one.
The case reflects a belief at the heart of Tigre Financial: the right business, given independence and focus, can find a gear beyond its former owner's reach.

Sitting inside a larger group?
If a business you know would thrive on its own, Tigre Financial would be glad to talk.
